The Location

Casa Madelaine is a huge house set over 3 levels and surrounded and enclosed by beautiful Mediterranean gardens, a huge swimming pool and some of the most breath-taking views Javea has to offer. This house really does have it all from an outdoor kitchen, Bali house overlooking the pool, fully equipped games room, and a gymnasium. Along with an indoor kitchen, endless bedrooms and a lot of living space. A huge house with a huge personality that is at its best when it is filled with lots of people taking full advantage of everything this house has to offer.

Casa Madelaine has the sun over the pool the whole day through from 11am, giving you a nice shaded couple of hours in the morning to cook and enjoy breakfast in the pool area. After that the sun beats down the whole day until it sets over the mountains, giving some beautiful sun sets.

Casa Madelaine is located on a really quiet urbanisation, which has some of the most amazing views in Javea. Because the house is situated on one of the highest plots in the area, it overlooks the whole valley and the surrounding mountains. There are several restaurants close to the house that are Michelin stared serving some of the best dishes Javea has to offer, it is said that people travel from all over the Costs Blanca to visit these restaurants.

Javea Arenal

The Arenal Beach

The main beach in Javea is called “The Arenal”, and is a wide sandy beach filling the bay. There are sunbeds and parasols for hire, and several playgrounds for children. The promenade area is home to a wide range of bars and restaurants, clothes shops, and of course, beach toys.

The many restaurants and bars at The Arenal, serve everything from a typical “English” burger and chips, right up to fine dining, and everything in between. Whatever your taste, or budget, you will always find something suitable if you’re spending a day, or evening at the beach.

Javea Port

The Port

The Port area of Javea is just a short way along the coast road from the Arenal beach. During the summer months there are several temporary beach bars, or “chiringuitos” as they are known locally. These serve the usual selection of drinks, and food for anyone wanting to sit close the sea and while away the day.

The Port is still a working fishing port, and you can see boats going in and out daily. There is also the usual compliment of shops, bars and restaurants, serving a more Spanish style of food than found at the beach.

Javea Old Town

The Old Town

Javea Old Town is a little more traditional than the other parts of Javea. Sitting on top of a hill, just a short way inland from the Port area, it looks out to sea, and was built this way to protect from invaders.

These days of course there are none, but the Old Town retains its traditional Spanish feel, with narrow little streets, and cafés every few meters.

There are lots of things to see and do here, from old churches, and museums, to indoor markets, and wonderful little Tapas bars.

Javea Beaches

Other Beaches

There are several other beaches in the Javea area, away from the main Arenal beach.

Once that is certainly worth a visit if you don’t mind stony beaches is Granadella. This pretty little cove is about 15 – 20 mins drive from the Arenal, and is perfect for snorkelling. There are several bars and restaurants there, but parking can be limited in the height of the summer.

Ambolo beach is another beautiful spot (sometimes used by naturists) with clear turquoise waters and a lovely sandy beach. You do have to walk down quite a steep path, but it’s worth it!
